Massive Attack’s Robert del Naja launches one off artwork fire-sale in support of Bristol Food Union

Thursday 7 May, 2020

Bristol band, Massive Attack, have today continued their generous support of the Bristol Food Union, with lead-artist Robert del Naja launching a rare release of a new print edition, with all proceeds to be donated to the Bristol Food Union’s ‘Feed the Frontline’ intervention

The 2 colour ‘PROTECTION’ screenprint in NHS blue will be on sale in unlimited quantities for 10-days ONLY, from Thursday 7th May to midnight on Sunday 17th May. Each print will be signed, and in addition ten will be picked at random to be spray finished by 3D himself.

The support follows the bands generous initial £10,000 donation to get the Food Union crowd-funder underway, with band members volunteering time in the kitchen and community gardens to help support the initiative.

Food Union organiser, Aine Morris said:

“In true Bristol spirit, Massive Attack have been incredibly generous with their support of the Food Union since the project began.”

“Food, art and music go a long way towards making Bristol the city we all know and love, so it seems only natural that during this time of upheaval and uncertainty these sectors have come together to collaborate and make sure that people get fed.”

“This is the first time Robert del Naja has released a new print in some years, so for him to do so on behalf of the project, when he has already donated so much in time and support, is really extraordinary.”

“We can’t thank him enough for everything he’s been doing, and we look forward to continuing to find interesting ways to collaborate.”

The print is not limited, but will be available for 10 days only
